What is The Craft Cottage?
The Cottage is a unique space designed to be a community gathering spot for small groups to get together for arts, crafts and fun.
What do you do at The Craft Cottage?
We bring people together for creative projects, offering classes, craft-alongs, and open studio time. We also have a small selection of craft kits and supplies for sale.
What type of classes will you be offering?
Classes will range from simple to advanced. Fused Glass, Hand Built Clay, Decoupage, Sand Art, Bohemian Wall Hangings, Macrame Plant Holders, Sugar Cookie Decorating and more.
What is a Craft-Along?
Craft-alongs are relaxed group projects set up with all the needed supplies. They’re simple and require little instruction, perfect for unwinding.
My friends and I can craft together at home.
Yes, but do you? We host groups of up to 8–10, provide all tools and materials, and prepare everything for you.
How does your Open Studio time work?
Open Studio time is just that. We open up our space for you to use. Come use our workspace, tools, and supplies, or bring your own projects. Open Studio time is free of charge. Donations of either craft supplies or money are happily accepted, but never expected. It’s all about friendship and fun. (limit 8 per session)
*** Open Studio events are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis so they remain welcoming and accessible to all.
Due to very limited seating (6–8 spots), a refundable $5 deposit is required to hold your seat.
Your $5 will be returned to you when you arrive for the event.
This helps ensure that seats aren’t held by no-shows and that everyone who wants to attend has a fair chance. Thank you for helping keep the studio running smoothly and sustainably.

What else do you plan on having at The Craft Cottage?
As we expand, we aim to launch a Craft Exchange, where you can swap gently used tools and supplies for credit toward other materials, craft-alongs, or classes offered by Riddle Hill Homestead. Soon we will have a free craft closet. Eventually, The Cottage may also be available to rent for small events!
