A Note About Distance

We know Grafton is not on the way to anything. That’s part of why it feels the way it does.

Most of our guests drive 30–60 minutes to get here. Many choose to make an afternoon or weekend of it. If you’re coming out, slow down and enjoy the drive. The countryside is part of the experience.

What to Expect When You Visit

A visit to Riddle Hill Homestead is simple and relaxed. We’re still very much a working homestead, so things here feel a little more countryside than storefront.

Two Entrances
Riddle Hill Homestead sits on a corner lot with two addresses, depending on what you’re visiting.

92 Riddle Hill Road – Cookie Shop and picnic area
8 Davis Road – Craft Cottage classes and camping access

The two locations sit on the same property and are only a short walk apart, but using the correct driveway will make your arrival much easier.

Footwear
If you plan to wander the property, comfortable shoes are a good idea. Parts of the land include meadow, woods, and marshy edges near the river, especially after rain or during spring melt.

Many visitors enjoy spending a little time by the brook on warm days. If you plan to explore or step into the water, water shoes are strongly recommended. Like many natural streams, there is always a chance of encountering sharp rocks or the occasional piece of glass that has washed downstream over the years.

Payment
The Cookie Shop and Craft Cottage accept cash and digital payments. Many guests use Venmo, and we do our best to keep things simple and flexible.

Animals & Homestead Life
You may meet a few of our animals while you’re here. Chickens, dogs, and the occasional curious creature are all part of daily life at the homestead.
